Generally there are three broad options teachers could consider in terms of linking Bag Smart type activities to the curriculum:

1. Integrated - ‘BAG SMART’ theme can be intergraded (e.g. across middle school ) and can also be used to develop values outcomes.
   
2. Learning Area emphasis - This could be a topic in S&E ,Science, or literacy for example
   
3. Cross-curricular themes - Look for opportunities for cross-curricular themes in Learning Areas such as Science, S&E, Physical Education, Health, English, The Arts and Technology

It is important for the learning from these activities to be recognized and are linked to the education framework in your state.
