Bag Smart - Help Rid Australia of PLastic Bags

BackgrouProject Coordinators Lesley Brooks and Colin Bellnd
The concept of Bag Smart was created by Lesley Brooks and Colin Bell in 2003 in response to requests they were receiving from community leaders for assistance with developing local social marketing campaigns to reduce plastic shopping bags.

Colin and Lesley had worked on previous community initiatives and social marketing initiatives using similar models and strategies, and saw the Bag Smart approach as a practical and effective way to fill a need from communities who wanted to try to reduce plastic bags.
